I sat through a lesson during which the teacher did a stellar job of presenting this bizarre problem. I'm not sure it fits Dan Meyer's official defition of pseudocontext, but I can tell you that the longer I sat in the room watching the teacher work on this with her students, the more I wanted to give her the teaching equivalent of the purple heart.
